On May 7th 2019, the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein approved the government bill known as “The Blockchain Act”. The official name of the blockchain laws is the Token and Trusted Technology Service Provider Law (TTTL, TT Law or TTL). Link to Press Release.
Since the prime minister of Liechtenstein, Mr. Adrian Hasler, announced the Blockchain Act in June 2018, the industry had been waiting for the laws to be officially passed. In times of legal uncertainty, the Liechtenstein new legal frame-work is an important step to ensure clarity and guidance for the whole crypto industry. The first reading of the bill in Parliament is expected to take place in June 2019.
