– How will cryptography and blockchain technology secure digital asset? Establishing the Internet of Value.

– How will the Token Economy empower global trade? What impact will Stablecoins, Central Bank Digital Currencies CBDCs, Facebook’s Libra have on the economy, society and business?

– How will the open, decentralized and transparent architecture of blockchain enable improved, more efficient and automated compliance for Know your customer #KYC, Anti-Money-Laundry #AML, Counter Terrorist Financing?

– How #eMoney, #cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets are powered by smart contracts creating programmable money and programmable assets?

About Dalian China

Often called the “Hong Kong of the North,” Dalian enjoys a privileged stature as one of China’s most livable cities. It has a picturesque setting with numerous parks and nice swimmable beaches. Throughout its long history, several foreign nations called it their own, thanks to its strategic position on the Liaodong Peninsula on Korea Bay. Today, a modern manner prevails in this city of skyscrapers, colonial gems and modern cutting-edge design. In 2019 the population of the city of Dalian is more than 6.7 Million people, but growing constantly.

Dalian also hosts a pair of impressive city squares. Its Xinghai Square is the largest in the world, dotted with sculptures, fountains and an amusement park. Zhongshan Square, designed by the Russians in the 19th century, is more circular in shape, with a roundabout forming its perimeter. Several classical buildings here were constructed by the Japanese during the early 20th century, and its open space comprises green landscaped parks and plazas where locals gather to socialize. Ten roads radiate from this bustling hub. The ten-mile-long Golden Coast Beach offers long strolls on soft sands.
The beach is part of the Jinshitan National Holiday Resort area, which also features the Golden Pebble Waxworks Museum, the Geological Museum, the Coastal National Geopark, the Tang Dynasty Hot Spring Resort and many other attractions that lure tourists from all over China and beyond.

The World Economic Forum along with many other internationally known events help the city of Dalian to gain international recognition and to become one of the globally known Chinese regions. This enlarged international acceptance will benefit Dalian, by becoming the host of other international events, undergo further projects and turn into a new international trading center of China.

In the run-up to the G20 Summit in Hamburg Germany, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy organised a G20 Multi Stakeholder Conference. The title of the leadership conference was “Digitalisation: Policies for a Digital Future” and it was held on 6 April 2017 in Duesseldorf, Germany. An interesting line-up of keynote speakers, though leaders and government officials where discussion the key drivers of digital transformation.

Particularly there had been three key areas of interest:
1. Shaping digitalisation at a global level – leveraging the potential for growth and employment
2. Digital networking for industrial value creation – developing international standards
3. Creating transparency – enhancing trust in the digital world

I had been invited to attend the G20 Digital Conference as a delegate and a special private side-event by the World Economic Forum. Here is a short video summary:
